All lessons are taught by Massachusettes lisenced instructors. We specialize in teaching new riders the skills of horseback riding – from learning how to catch a horse and groom it, to basic riding skills, to advanced riding on the flat and over fences. Our instructors are experienced, patient and willing to spend the time necessary to bring each student along at their own pace. Whether you are an adult who has always been interested in learning how to ride, or someone who has years of experience – Holiday Acres has something to offer you! We teach children as young as 3 and 4 years old the love of horses and the responsibility that goes along with it. Horses and children form a wonderful connection and you’d be amazed at how much confidence a timid individual will gain from thier horse experiences!
Very young and beginning riders are taught how to prepare their horse for the lesson. Once this is learned, the rider is expected to arrive early enough to tack their horse up for their lesson. They are also expected to cool their horse off and return it to it’s stall/paddock. There are always individuals here to help with these responsibilities if necessary.
