Directions

Holiday Acres Equestrian Center is located in the beautiful town of Rutland, the geographical center of Massachusettes. We are approximately twenty minutes northwest of Worcester. We’re easy to find: just follow Rt. 122A north through Holden and into Rutland. After passing through Rutland center, we are the first farm (approx. 1/2 mile) on the left side. If you are coming from the north follow Rt. 122 south through Barre. After entering Rutland, take a left on Rt. 122A and you will find us about 1.7 miles on the right side.

Our Philosophy

Here at Holiday Acres we love to introduce children to the world of horses! The special relationships formed between a child and a horse develop confidence, teach the rewards of hard work, and build character that lasts a lifetime. We encourage riders to learn at their own pace and we strive to provide a safe place with a friendly atmosphere in which every rider is taught the discipline and responsibility necessary for good horsemanship. For over 50 years it has been our pleasure to lay a strong foundation and to observe and encourage as the individual grows in their love of this sport.

Or ride in a horse show…learn to jump over fences…ride bareback with the wind blowing in your hair? Come and experience for yourself the special relationship between a horse and rider. Meet our wonderful school horses: Lucky, Rascal, Penny, Midnight, Beau, Leroy and all the others. During the Holiday Acres Summer Riding Program you will learn about hard work and responsibility as you care for and grow to love these magnificent animals.
