Debbi Hunt

Debbi started Holiday Acres with her husband, Cliff, in 1973. In addition to owning and running the barn, she also raised a family of eight children, all of whom she homeschooled.
In 1972 she earned her instructors certificate at Shallowbrook Equestrian Center. She rode in clinics taught by Gordon Wright and George Morris. She has been Field Master for the Winimusset Hunt Club, played polo, and shown in hunter/jumper shows. Many of her students have become accomplished riders and made their careers in the horse world.
She has enjoyed every aspect of horses her entire life and has passed on that passion to countless children and adults over the years. Currently she teaches very young riders along with a few adults.
Bonnie (Hunt) Bleiler

Bonnie has been teaching lessons Holiday Acres for over 20 years. She started riding horses at a young age, buying her first horse when she was ten years old. After buying and training many horses, horse showing and trail riding for years, and teaching many levels of riders, she has found her real passion is working with new and inexperienced riders and watching their love for horses grow. Bonnie teaches several weeks of camp each year and excels at brining along the first time riders and helping them learn the basics of horseback riding.
Madeline Ostrow McCassey

Madeline Ostrow McCassey has been riding hunt seat since the age of 7. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Business Management & Riding with a concentration in Training and Instructing from Johnson and Wales. She received her Large and Small Bronze medals in both Jumping and Dressage from the Westphalia Riding and Driving school in Munster, Germany in 2014. She was also an active member and captain of the Johnson and Wales IHSA team. Shortly before graduating in 2015 she received her Massachusetts riding instructors license. Madeline has been coaching the Assumption University Equestrian team since 2018. Madeline is patient, kind, and has a lot of knowledge when it comes to horses and horsemanship. She enjoys teaching students of all ages and levels.
Beka Hunt

Beka grew up riding horses and started attending horse shows from a very young age. From 2015 – 2017 she worked for and rode under the instruction of gold Olympian Torrance Watkins. She has some experience in Eventing and dressage, but her main passion is in Equitation, Hunters and Jumpers. She has trained many horses over the years and especially enjoys Thoroughbreds, owning four herself. In 2012 she bought her first OTTB, Tiger. With the help and guidance of her trainer, Geralyn, they went to many shows including HITs on the Hudson, Fieldstone Show Park, MHJ Finals, MHC Days of Champions and many others. Every year she takes many of her students to horse shows from local 4-H shows, to rated and everything in between. Beka also teaches a few weeks of summer camp each summer and is a coach on the Wachusett IEA Team.
Geralyn Szczurko

Geralyn learned to ride at Holiday Acres as a young girl where she took her first riding lesson with owner Debbi Hunt in 1991. Her love for horses and the sport began at Holiday Acres which grew into a lifelong passion. Geralyn graduated college in 2003 with a BS in Equine Business Management from Cazenovia College. After graduation she returned to Holiday Acres as an instructor. Over the last 20 years Geralyn has coached riders and horses from the local level to the A circuit. Geralyn serves as a coach of the Wachusett Equestrian IEA Team that has called Holiday Acres home for the past 15 years. Over the years the team has shared many successes with riders holding national titles. Geralyn also serves as the Region President of the IEA and takes great pride in the team and farm’s involvement with the organization.
